Even more ASUS!

So, someone needs a phone more than I did, so my BLU Energy XL went to a worthy cause.
But I still need a phone, and my old Zenfone2 wasn't going to cut it for long.
So, I went out looking, and her I found the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom.
First, and foremost; 5000mAh battery!
Yeah, I know, you don't need this. I don't really need it, either, but as a guy who had to carry around an external power bank to keep a 3000mAh battery going throughout the day, I'm not doing that again. I rather have it stored inside the phone where it belongs.

A really nice camera. Did a four hour photo-walk through downtown Fort Worth, so you be the judge. Low-light still isn't great, but it's not that big a deal for me.

Slapped a microSD card into it, just in case, and memory is no problem.

Shipped with 6.1 and got an over the air update to 7.0 after a week!

So, yeah. Loving this phone!

BLU's camera app has some cool tricks.

BLU has some good camera functions that you might like, as I've mentioned before.
Instead of making a camera that tried to "wow" photographers (which doesn't even happen amongst the iPeople - not in real life, anyway),  the Vivo 8 has added OCR and edge detection tricks for taking photos of business cards, forms, or translating text from one language to another.
This isn't anything you can't get elsewhere by installing Google's Keep, Photo Scan, or Translate, but it's nice to see BLU taking the extra step of adding some functionality...
